Antique Corkscrews
The Old Corkscrew will be showcasing a magnificent collection of antique corkscrews. The corkscrews shown here incorporate an extremely rare Royal Club, Brass "Plume" and "Gropelli".
The Royal Club with its sinuously curved handle has been described as the most elegant of all corkscrews. ( Corkscrews by Frank and Barbara Ellis- page 113 ). The other corkscrew of note is the Irish silver folding pocket bow with sheath. This is marked with a makers mark I.S and the only other example known bearing this mark was part of the Bernard  Watney collection in London 1997
