| LE BROCANTEUR Le Brocanteur suppliers of French and English antique furniture, decorative items , china and silver ware, and objects with a distinct continental accent. A visit to Le Brocanteur is like a visit to a corner of France. The prettiest, most elegant shop in Cape Town is in an early Cape villa with beautiful room settings flowing one into the other. It is filled with piles of antique linen, blue and white china, glassware, decanters, silver frames and many other items that are ideal for small gifts. For over 20 years the Ferrignos have commuted back and forth between France and South Africa. Gerard originally from Marseille, has built up a network of collectors and dealers in provincial French towns. Justine comes from Stockholm and met her husband when studying in Paris. Their love of antiques comes from years of collecting special items such as objets de Vertu, boxes and provencal furniture, They started their shop 1987 in the Garden center Cape town and have exhibited at many antique fairs such as Saada Johannesburg, Rooms on View, Saada Cape Town and Riding for the Disabled. They bought their own premises in 2004 where they presently trade from. |
