Jeremy Astfalck introduced a detailed cataloguing system to classify corkscrew designs, which has been enhanced over 30 years with input from global collectors and scholars.

A key influence in the field is Bertrand Giulian’s Corkscrews of the Eighteenth Century – Artistry in Iron & Steel(1995).

The forthcoming exhibition will spotlight pieces from Giulian’s personal collection, as featured in his book.
