Rare Cape silver presentation beaker by John Townsend, Circa 1824- 1841 inscribed:
“Presented by Mrs Keiser; to Capt. Brooks of the Lavinia, as a token of respect, for attention, shown to her Sister, and Brother, Lissette, and Theodore Keiser, during a Passage in his ship, from London to ye Cape of Good Hope.” and dated Cape Town Feb 10, 1832. The reverse side having the initials JB. See page 50- S. Welz, Cape Silver where a similar example dated 1826 is illustrated.
French Art Deco Chrome plated jazz band, probably used as décor in a jazz club.
Rare Cape 19ct gold double buckle by Johannes Casparus Lotter, Circa 1811- 1823. Only a handful of Cape Gold pieces are recorded, including an 18ct gold snu[ box and five gold hair pins.
Rare Cape Gold hairpin by Johannes Hendricus Beyleveld, circa 1814- 1827 (The first recorded by this maker). Cape Gold hairpins are rare with only four other gold examples recorded. One is in the Koopmans De Wet Collection. Two examples by Jacobus Johannes Vos are pictured in ‘A History of Cape Silver 1700-1870’ by David Heller on page 207 and the fourth gold version by Peter Clarke Daniel was sold by The Old Corkscrew.

Originally introduced in 1953 as NV 53 - named after master joiner Niels Vodder, this extravagant chair was designed for the Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition in 1953. With its elegant, sculptural lines and softly embracing form, the NV53 chair offers both visual lightness and exceptional comfort.
